No 2 Bideford Mews, situated in the delightful historic little town of Stratton, originated in the 15th Century, but has now been completely renovated and refurbished in 2003 to a high specification.

2 Bideford Mews has been awarded an ETC 3 Star grading.

 

All the appliances, carpets, curtains, linens, light fitments etc are new at installation. The house is fully equipped for 5 people. Within the fully fitted kitchen there is a washing machine, fridge, fan over, gas hob, microwave and a dining table and chairs. There is an ironing board, rotary drier and airer. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking and food service ware including bakeware, microwave cookware, scales, utensils, kitchen linen and cleaning materials - and a basic food store is provided - tea, coffee, condiments and milk on your arrival so you relax immediately to enjoy your holiday.

 

 

The large spacious lounge has an open fire and the furnishing are in relaxing dusky rose and heather tones. Available for your use are TV, video, CD/radio cassette player along with videos and CDs. And we have a selection of books, games and board games.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Upstairs there is a master bedroom, a bedroom with 3 ft bunk beds, both to the front of the house and to a rear is a further bedroom with 4 ft bed. All are fully co-ordinated and comfortable with ample storage space for clothes etc. Radio alarms and hairdryer are available and a large child's cot can be supplied on request. The tasteful bathroom is fully fitted and has razer point and a shower over the bath.

The garden overlooks England's oldest preserved farmland and has flowers and vegetables which we encourage our visitors to use. Garden furniture is also provided for your to enjoy the peace and tranquility.

 

2 Bideford Mews is only a short stroll from the famous historic Tree Inn, where the Cornish giant Anthony Payne lived. The Inn offers great meals, bar snacks, Sunday lunches and folk evenings. The Kings Arms, another delightful pub offering good food is just down the road and Stratton also has the Union Inn and a popular fish and chip shop - just in case you don't feel like cooking, or wish to go for a drink without having to worry about driving back. Basically Stratton is an ideal place to stay with everything you need at hand and with the beaches, canal and coastline at Bude just a couple of miles down the road.

All our prices include central heating, hot water, electricity and bed linen.

Prices range from £275 - £495 per week - and we can additionally offer weekend breaks and part-week terms out of season (from £400)
