One of Cornwall's very special places, Broomhill offers an array of facilities including riding-stables, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, hot-tubs, luxury cottages and award-winning gardens making a perfect location for a holiday any time of year. The cottages cluster around the old Manor House and are furnished to a high standard and vary in size from one to three bedrooms. Leisure facilities include tropically heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, outdoor pool, all-weather tennis court and own riding stables. Close to sea, sandy beaches and several golf courses.
Broomhill Manor Country Estate, consists of 17 beautifully appointed cottages and a wing of the glorious Manor House. Converted from old cob barns and stables and newly refurbished, the cottages are laid out around quiet courtyards which are decorated with colourful hanging baskets and stunning flower beds. Each cottage is serviced and equipped to a high standard, offering a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. All cottages have a 28" widescreen TV, CD and DVD players and freeview as well as microwaves and dish washers. Five of our cottages now have private gardens with hot-tubs! Two cottages have woodburning stoves for cosy winter breaks. Australian gas fired BBQ's and garden furniture are provided for alfresco dining to make the most of the relaxed environment. We are able to supply cots, highchairs and stairgates free of charge.
Our indoor leisure facilities are superb, the tropical atmosphere of the swimming pool can be enjoyed throughout the year. Indulge in a sauna, or unwind in the Jacuzzi or just read a newspaper on the loungers. Our Beauty Therapist offers a variety of treatments and therapies from the treatment room. The gymnasium has equipment including excersise bike, running machine and a rowing machine. Above the indoor pool is our lounge and licensed bar holding a full size snooker table and 1970s jukebox. We can also offer a variety of Home Cooked Ready Meals for guests. Archery is available weekly in the high season on the main Manor House lawn with our qualified instructor.
The 18 acres of grounds are a feature of the estate, with specimen trees, ponds, and secluded thatched summer houses to relax in. There are two play areas, a trampoline, Wendy house and adventure equipment. The indoor games room is equipped with a pool table, table football and table tennis. We have a dedicated playroom for the under 6's and close by a sandpit. Outside is our all weather tennis court, nearby enjoy the heated outdoor pool with its own sun terrace.
Very much part of Broomhill's heritage, we have our own riding stables and our experienced staff give lessons and take out hacks each day. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. Many children gain their first experience of riding on our ponies. Beginners have the benefit and safety of using our own menage and taking gentle hacks along the private roads of the estate. More experienced riders can even try some jumping. They also have access to the downs and when the tide is right, even the beach. The weekly gymkhana in the high season is always popular.
Situated close to the Devon/Cornwall border, Broomhill Manor is an ideal base to explore this beautiful part of the Westcountry. Just a mile from the pretty town of Bude and its world famous sandy beaches and some of Cornwalls most dramatic and spectacular coastal scenery. Bude is a thriving town and has many bars and restaurants as well as an excellent supply of surf shops! Bude is divided by a magnificent 18 hole golf course and is flanked to the west by rolling downland and the cliff-tops which provide excellent walks.
Within a few short minutes drive of Bude there are many exciting places to visit. Picture book fishing villages like Port Isaac and Clovelly and their narrow winding streets. Boscastle's sheltered harbour, Tintagel's legendary Arthurian castle and quaint old post office. The Eden Project is a day out not to be missed and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a sight to behold.
