Crackington Haven Beach

Meets Guideline Standards of the Marine Conservation Society 2010 for water quality.
Dominated by majestic cliffs of exceptional geological interest, Crackington Haven is a lovely cove with many rock pools and a stretch of golden sand when the tide is out. There is a large car park, pub, cafes, surf hire and toilets. Lifeguard cover is provided from 4th July until 6th September. Dogs are banned from Easter Day to 1st October (except guide dogs).
Surfing Info: Usually smaller (2ft) than Widemouth, so good on big days. Rights and lefts peeling into the rip. Waves can be steep at low tide (closeout) or spilling at mid tide, breaking on reef or sand.
Suitable for: Beginners through to experienced surfers.Dangers: Rocks left and right, experienced surfers can use river to enter water.Tides: Surfable at Mid tide only. Wind: E/SE offshore.
