Accommodation Assessment

Staff from Bude Area Tourist Board offer a VisitCornwall Recognised Inspection Scheme after being trained and approved by VisitEngland to inspect accommodation and issue a VisitCornwall Inspection Scheme logo.

Our low-cost inspection scheme is ideal for those who do not wish to participate in the VisitEngland or The AA's National Quality Assessment Scheme.

Fire Risk Assessment Template

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must carry out, or appoint a competent person to carry out a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment. This must include the risks of fire to their employees, and others who may be affected by their work or business.

If your company or business employs five or more employees you must keep a formal written record of any significant findings and remedial measures which have, or may need to be taken.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service have produced a generic fire risk assessment template and guide for small and medium size businessess to give you an example of a fire risk assessment, and illustrate some of the areas you should consider. Image of CFRS Risk Assessment Guide

It must be stressed that this template is only a guide, and you must ensure that your fire risk assessment is suitable and sufficient.

Note: Using our risk assessment template and guidance does not automatically demonstrate compliance with the law.
