Bude Eye Centre is an independent optometric practice conveniently situated in Bude Town Centre. We carry out eye examinations and contact lens fitting and provide a large range of spectacles as well as prescription and non-prescription sunglasses. Our on-site laboratory allows us to offer a same day service.* Our staff are always on hand to offer friendly advice.

With over 500 frames in stock to suit all budgets. Prices start from £50.00 including single vision lenses. We have a good designer selection including Chanel, Prada, Gucci and Quicksilver plus a range of rimless styles. All children's eye examinations and eyewear are free including Barbie, Action Man and Beano frames. For patients with an NHS voucher there is a wide range of free spectacles. All our spectacles are fitted with good quality lenses from reputable manufacturers only.

The eye examination at Bude Eye centre is thorough and unhurried, paying particular attention to your individual visual requirements.

We have a Fundus Camera which takes an image of the back of the eye to aid diagnosis. The image is recorded to enable accurate monitoring of any changes in the Fundus. We also provide an intuitive coloured overlay test.

We fit all types of contact lenses including daily disposables, continuous wear, gas permeable and toric. During a contact lens fitting session, measurements are taken of the corneal curvature and a slit-lamp Biomicroscope is used to check the integrity of the cornea and assess the patient's suitability
