Remember that many self catering cottages are let for 7 days starting on a Friday or Saturday.
Self Catering accommodation encompasses any type of accommodation with its own kitchen and bathroom facilities. The most common types of self catering accommodation include a caravan, house, cottage or flat. Bookings are generally for a week’s holiday starting on a Friday or Saturday, but short breaks are becoming increasingly common. Only Visit Britain assess Self Catering accommodation.
Holiday Villages generally comprise of various types of accommodation within a complex; such as cottages, chalets and caravans. A range of facilities and activities will be available, but may not be included in the tariff. Both Visit Britain and the AA assess Holiday Villages.
Touring and Camping Parks accommodate caravans, motor homes and tents, and sometimes static caravans. Both Visit Britain and the AA assess Camping Parks.
