Fishing in and around Bude
COARSE FISHING
Closed Season Mar 31st – 1st June

Recent development of the canal has done much to improve the access to the canal bank. Roach, rudd, dace, perch, tench, carp and bream are commonly caught. Closed season runs from 1st April to 31st May. During the open season, bailifs patrol the towpath and sell the relevent permits.
To add to the current stock, during March 2010 10,000 Roach (5-7 inches) and 50 Carp (3-5 lb) will be introduced to the Canal from Rodds Bridge to the sea lock gates.
