Golf in and around Bude

Bude and the surrounding area is unbeatable in terms of choice, quality, and awe-inspiring scenery for a golfing holiday or a few leisurely rounds.

There are many clubs in the area, including the following:

Just three miles out of Bude towards Kilkhampton is Ivyleaf , a nine hole, 2300 yard parkland golf course overlooking the coast. Visitors are welcome to "pay as you play" and no handicap is required. The course boasts a covered, floodlit driving range along with club and trolley hire.
Hartland Forest Golf Club is set in rolling countryside 10 miles north of Bude, just off the A39. In the most picturesque of settings, the course is very gently sloping and water hazards are in play on most of the holes – all of which offer an interesting challenge to even the very best of golfers. Developed in 1993, the course is now a maturing parkland course. Golf Karts are available for hire at just £10 and the consistently under-utilised course means that it is the most relaxing round of golf you are ever likely to find. So much so that there is very rarely any requirement to book a tee time! The club ambience is totally informal with players often interrupting their round after nine holes to call in to the small clubhouse bar for a coffee before resuming. The course opens at 8:30am; green fees are a very modest £15 and it’s even cheaper at £50 for a fourball. For local residents looking to join as members, beginners are very welcome, and the annual cost is a snip at only £250. What more could any golfer ask for? Turn right off the northbound A39 from Bude after passing the Westcountry Inn. Hartland Forest is just 25 minutes from Bude, Holsworthy and Bideford. Golf Societies are always very welcome.

The Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club is located in the town centre, taking players along the coast and inland. Certainly one of Cornwall's finest courses, it boasts 21 holes, has excellent drainage enabling play through all seasons, a practice ground, club/trolley and buggy hire, bar, restaurant and a function room. Visitors are welcome, and many local B&B's and Hotel's offer reduced green-fees.

The famous Royal North Devon Golf Club is the oldest seaside links in England. With spectacular views over Bideford Bay and Lundy Island, a golfing museum and warm welcome, the short drive to Westward Ho! is well worth the effort!

On the cliff top between Summerleaze and Crooklets Beach, Bude Cricket Club operate the 9 hole Pitch and Put , and there is Crazy Golf at the Recreational Centre close the Tourist Information Centre and Bude Canal..
