The Brendon Arms

The Brendon Arms has been offering the "Warmest welcome in the West" since 1872. We offer the finest in Cornish produced foods such as locally caught lobster (in season), kept alive in our oxygenated tank. "Home-made" specials change daily and will always include a seafood choice, a vegetarian option, or firm favourites such as steak and kidney or a cottage pie: a beef bourguignon or beef madras.

Take in the local scene at Bude's best situated and most popular pub. The Public Bar shows all Sky TV Sports, and there are Darts, Pool, and a modern Sound System. The Brendon Arms is a family oriented pub;for example, the juke box sound is reduced until 9pm to permit normal conversation: children and dogs (in the Public Bar) are welcome. The Lounge (Lifeboat) Bar, where one places food orders, has a relaxed, comfortable, and suitably nautical atmosphere: there is no juke box and if the TV is on it's always on mute. We have built the best heated smoking shelter in Bude. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet and ample free parking.

All our staff are trained to be friendly and your enjoyment and well-being is their only concern. As a Free House, we have chosen to stock and serve the most popular national brands of draught beer plus delicious ales from local Cornish brewers. We look after our beers as well as we look after our customers. We have a more extensive wine list than a normal pub, each wine is selected to deliver the best value whatever the grape, region or style.
