Tourist Information & Canal Visitor Centre
Opening hours: Monday – Saturday 10.00 am – 5.00 pm. Sunday 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. During the main season we are generally open until 6pm.
Whilst our website is updated frequently, and can answer many of your questions; the Bude Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is perhaps the most useful resource for people visiting, and planning to visit Bude.
We have a fantastic sales area stocked with local handicrafts, books, maps, guides and souvenirs; and our floor space has been enlarged allowing us to display tourist attraction leaflets for the whole of Devon and Cornwall.
Let our knowledgeable staff find you the perfect place to stay based on your requirements and individual needs, as we can book accommodation across much of the UK.
We can plan and book your journey on National Express coaches, and help you decipher the local bus timetables!
We offer daytrips to Lundy Island, sailing from Bideford or Illfracombe. You can also save money by buying our priority entrance tickets for the Eden Project.
If you are spending time in other areas of Cornwall and Devon, our knowledgeable staff can help plan the next leg of your adventure.
We have two computers where you can surf the internet, and can transfer your digital images to CD/DVD. We also offer a fax and photocopy service.
For the walkers, we may be able to hold your luggage or arrange for it to be sent to your next destination.
Within the TIC is the new Canal Visitor Centre; a hands-on and informative display, where you can learn more about the famous Bude Canal. There is also an education suite available to hire, which is suitable for small to medium sized groups.
Mark, Alison, Ann, Clare, Penny and Jane will be more than happy to help you in anyway they can!
