Set away from the main courtyard and adjoining the Farmhouse, Anna’s Cottage is a delight. Downstairs it’s all warm wooden floors, exposed stone walls and rustic beams (the beams are 6’3” at their lowest, so if you’re tall take care!).

The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area is flooded with light, thanks to two full-height windows. And there are squashy leather sofas, great for flopping on after a hard day riding the waves or scoffing a Cornish cream tea.

Head upstairs. via the spiral staircase, to find the main bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower room plus a twin bedroom, next to a family bathroom. From both rooms, you’ve glorious views over open farmland to the sea as well as afternoon sun. Sleep in the main bedroom, and you also get the morning sun.

And if you can’t get enough of the outdoors, there’s a private garden where you can relax, play or enjoy leisurely meals.
