Cobble Cottage, a traditional Cornish Cottage, lovingly refurnished to a high standard. This delightful grade II listed Cottage, dates back to the 17th Century. Situated in the heart of Kilkhampton village, near Bude. Located just off the village square in a private cobbled courtyard. Cobble Cottage is the ideal place for a family holiday, romantic escape or celebration. Our beautiful cottage offers you luxury and comfort and provides you with a relaxing break from the bustle of everyday life for a short holiday or longer.

There are three bedrooms sleeping up to five adults/children + cot. Ideal cottage for people who love staying in a fully equipped high quality ‘home from home’, with the added advantage of being in a great self-contained village, with post office/newsagents, butcher, food shops, two good pubs (both serve food). There is one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, plus a lovely little café all on the doorstep.

There are wonderful walks from the cottage. The seaside town of Bude is five miles away. Within a four mile drive, you’ll find the beautiful beaches, ‘Sandymouth’ (National Trust and dog friendly) and ‘Duckpool’. Padstow is approx. 30 miles away, Port Isaac 25 miles, while Barnstaple is 28 miles from the property.

Downstairs: The front door leads into the entrance hallway, which has two built in pine cupboards (useful for storing coats and shoes). The living room is comfortably furnished with large comfy sofas, flat screen TV with Freeview HD and a DVD player. There is an inglenook fireplace with an old fashioned feature bread oven, exposed beams, high quality furniture and cosy furnishings.

High quality kitchen/dining area with an attractive reclaimed brick floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric Neff oven, ceramic hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge. There is electric underfloor heating downstairs (and a gas fire in the sitting room). A separate utility room is located outside (down the path), with a freezer and a washer dryer.

Upstairs: Stairs lead up to the master bedroom with king-sized bed, a twin bedroom, single bedroom and family bathroom with over-bath shower and Bluetooth Audio system. There is a new electric heating system upstairs.

Outside:  The garden is a short walk towards the end of the path. This was originally used by the farmer taking his cows from the fields to the square on the way to market. In our private enclosed garden, there is a garden picnic table and plenty of space for children to play.

Kilkhampton is a conservation village with an interesting history and often features in the best kept village awards, there has been a village here for hundreds of years and the original strip field system can be seen along with tiny cottages hidden up narrow alleys.

One well behaved dog is welcome. Please ensure dogs remain downstairs and off the furniture (sofas etc). Dogs must be supervised at all times and must never be left alone in the cottage. There is a dog friendly pub in the village and plenty in the area, plus lots of great walks.

High season (mid-May to mid-Sept) – weekly bookings only with changeover on Saturdays.  Short breaks are available out of season (mid-Sept to mid-May, excluding school holidays).  Please refer to the online availability calendar.
