Kerrek (Number 27) is a brand-new holiday let with four bedrooms sleeping eight people in a fantastic location on Victoria Road, at Crooklets.  You’ll be so close to the beach, you’ll hear the sea.

Upon entering this brand-new holiday let, from the off road parking spaces you will be welcomed into the large open-plan family room.

The lounge area offers comfy leather sofas where you can sit back and relax whilst watching a programme on the Smart TV.

The dining table seats everyone comfortably and is perfect for that special family meal which can be whipped up in the well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher.

There is also a utility room with washer/dryer, separate sink, additional American style fridge/freezer and access to a shower room with shower and WC.

From here there is a second lounge with plenty of seating and a Smart TV for everyone to relax after a busy day exploring.

Heading up to the first floor you will find three of the property’s four bedrooms – a master king-size, a double with en-suite WC and a bunk bedroom with full-size bunk beds.

There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

Heading up the bespoke staircase to the second floor is the fourth bedroom with twin beds, which has been built into the eaves of the property and has an en-suite shower and WC

The Terms and Conditions for Kerrek have been revised due to the Coronovirus (COVID 19) pandemic.
CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Tariff
Kerrek is hired on the understanding that the accommodation is for holiday use only and that no right to remain in the property exists for the hirer or anyone in the hirer’s party.
The rates are for the rental period and allow use of Kerrek No 27, the 4 bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge, kitchen family room, utility room and wet room. Including all the facilities provided in those rooms, and the property.
Rates
Bookings can be made directly with me or through HolidayCottages.co.uk part of Travel Chapter, Visit Bude or Cornish Secrets websites. Bookings can be made by telephone, online or e-mail. To confirm a booking, a “non -refundable” booking deposit of £300 will be payable. Kerrek should not be considered reserved until the acknowledgment of the deposit and/or confirmation of the booking has been received. Payment by credit card is not available. Deposits should be paid within 5 days of a booking request. The booking system will generate an e-mail with full payment information. For short notice bookings, (less than one calendar month) payment in full will be payable on booking.
Full payment is to be received by Kerth Ltd (my business name) eight weeks prior to commencement of the booking date. Again, the booking system will generate an e-mail to remind guests of dates and balances.
Non-payment of the balance of the rent by the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract.
Cancellation Policy – COVID19. PLEASE REFER TO THE COVID19 POLICY
If you fall ill with COVID19 prior to your holiday, you must contact me immediately to cancel your holiday for the safety of others and you must not come to Kerrek. If you begin to fall ill with COVID19 during your holiday, you must contact me immediately to terminate your holiday for the safety of others and you must not stay at Kerrek. Please return home if you can.
Guests showing signs of Covid19 whilst staying at Kerrek are required to go home immediately and get a test at home. If guests cannot travel, they must get a get a test immediately. They should contact the owner straight away and inform the owner of the results. If positive, then the guest must immediately leave if this is reasonably possible. If for any reason that it is not, and self-isolation is required to take place at Kerrek, then all fees for all bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by the guest.

Cancelation Policy
In the event of any cancellation, or part cancellation, or failure to arrive by any or all of the guests, on the agreed date, for whatever reason including illness, The owner will endeavour to re-let the accommodation for the period of the cancellation but for any part of the cancelled visit that is not re-let full charge will be levied. Even if re let, a cancellation fee will be levied of £50. In all instances notice of cancellation must be in writing and will be effective from the date of receipt.
It is strongly recommended that guests take out Cancellation Holiday Insurance. The purchase of holiday insurance is not obligatory.
If you choose not to take out travel insurance, then you accept any responsibility for any loss that you may incur in this case, as the full balance will remain due and is not refundable unless the week/ weeks can be re-let.

Termination Policy
Kerth Ltd reserves the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual’s stay, or a booking in full, where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non- compliance of our strict non- smoking and no pets policy would constitute termination) In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.
If, for any reason the owner is unable to comply with this contract, by providing the holiday let of the hirer’s choice, equivalent or larger (defined in terms of cost of rental), Kerth Ltd is liable forthwith to refund to the Hirer, the full amount of monies paid and the total liability is limited to the refunding of such monies paid.
Payment
Payment of final accounts and deposits are acceptable by cash or bank transfer.
Kerth Ltd is not a VAT registered company.
Please pay by BACS.
Damage
The hirer undertakes to inform the owner about any breakages or damage and Kerth Ltd reserves the right to charge for this. The hirer is responsible for the care and insurance of his/ her property and personal effects etc.
There is no storage offered for valuable items, money etc.
Guests are welcome to consume beverages in the bedrooms but in the event of spoilage to furnishings and/or bedding, a charge may be liable to either professionally clean or cost of replacement if the former is unsuccessful or inappropriate.
Arrival / Departure
Please refer to the Cleaning Policy Guide and Covid19 Information sheet. These documents can be emailed directly on request.
Unless otherwise agreed, occupation by guests cannot be taken before 5 pm on the day of arrival. Guests can contact the owner to enquire if the property is ready prior to this time.
A key safe security number will be provided to allow entry.
Departure time has been brought forward due to the requirements of a deeper clean.
Guests staying in 2020 are requested to vacate rooms by 09.30 am on morning of departure, leaving the keys in the key safe boxes.
Faults & Complaints
The owner undertakes to make the accommodation available to the Hirer in a clean and tidy state, following government guidelines for cleaning, and to maintain facilities in a proper workable condition. The property and all equipment are maintained on a regular basis.
Every effort is made to keep all equipment and appliances in full working order. However, the owner cannot accept liability for problems outside of our reasonable control, such as breakdowns of domestic appliances including plumbing and every effort will be made to rectify problems as soon as possible.
Where, exceptionally, a problem or fault occurs to any equipment, the property, or utilities it will be dealt with as quickly as possible. The owner shall make every effort to keep disruption or inconvenience to a minimum but cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience caused
Any faults or complaints must be reported to the management at the time of the occurrence or as soon as reasonably possible. Any complaints received after the event will not be accepted. In the event of any major failure of any equipment, property, or utilities, this will be dealt with as speedily as possible. The owner cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience caused. The property and all equipment in it, is maintained on a regular basis.
General
The Hirer undertakes on his/ her party to take good care of the accommodation and all the facilities for the duration of the rental period, to leave the accommodation clean and tidy as found. The owner asks you to act with respect and with all reasonable consideration for next door, immediate neighbours, and neighbours in the vicinity. Kerrek is in a residential street and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
Guests are given a key to the front door and back patio door.
There is a strict no-smoking policy in Kerrek. This policy applies to e-cigarettes.
The use of candles is not permitted in Kerrek.
Pets are not permitted.
The number of guests staying at Kerrek must not exceed 8.
Single sex groups or groups of people under the age of 25 are not allowed.
The booking of Kerrek secures the use of a beach hut at Crooklets Beach during the stay period. This arrangement is done as the Hirers are deemed as friends of the owner. When using the Hut, guests must adhere to Cornwall Council Hut Users conditions. Please respect the neighbours, set up seating directly in front of the hut maintaining social distance regulations. Sleeping in the hut is prohibited. Barbecues outside the hut are permitted but please ensure adequate protection is made under the heat source to avoid damage to the concrete surface. Cornwall Council Hut User information is available on request.

Effective Date
These terms and conditions supersede all others and are effective from 15th June 2020. The right is reserved to amend the contents without notice.
Non -Availability of Kerrek
If for any reason beyond the owner’s control the property is not available on the dates booked, for example as a result of flooding, all rent will be refunded in full but the hirer shall have no further claim against Kerth Ltd or its owners.
Right of Entry
The hire must allow the owners and agents to reasonable access to the property for any maintenance.

Perfect for:

Recently back from a lovely stay in 27 Kerrek in Bude with a party of 8 adults. Property has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard with many lovely personal touches. Everything you can possibly think of has been provided. The luxury of also having the beach hut was invaluable, enabling us to store our beach attire for the whole week and having snacks and drinks throughout the day. Deb the owner is a fabulous host and gave us many tips and information about the area. Bude is a little gem with so much to do whatever the weather! Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed!!

Hill

A beautiful modern home, off road parking, tastefully renovated. Deb the owner could not be more helpful. Lovely welcome back. Do NOT be put off if you see availability, SNAP it up. Kerrek is new for 2019. Lots of separate space, as two families you still have your own ‘chill out’ areas.. The garden has the sun in the evening. Outdoor shower after your day on the beech, for sandy toes. 3 bathrooms one room ensuite too. Thank you for allowing us to use this beautiful house .

Kerrek is a fabulous, beautifully appointed and spacious house in an ideal location in Bude with easy access to beaches and the rest of North Cornwall and Devon. Kerrek has been stylishly renovated and is now an amazing contemporary holiday home just minutes walk from the beach and town centre. The owner, Deb, is the most attentive and welcoming host who ensured that we had everything that we needed for a wonderful holiday. Her local knowledge and recommendations were invaluable – the Welcome Pack with information on local restaurants and shops was superb ensuring that we able to enjoy the best of Bude to make the most of our time away. We had a brilliant holiday at Kerrek, and aim to return as soon as possible!.

Hadley

Kerrek is a beautifully restored terraced house about 10 minutes walk from Crooklets beach. It is approximately 10 minutes walk to Sainsburys and the town. As a family of 5 adults we found it a very comfortable home for the very wet and windy week we were there! The house was spotlessly clean on arrival and we had a voucher to spend in the deli as a hamper could not be provided. A nice welcoming touch. If we had any queries Debs was always available and quick to respond. She is a very conscientious host and knows everything about Bude. Having 2 sitting rooms with 2 TVs is a bonus with one available for games, and even though Debs had removed all the ‘extras’s due to Coronavirus we did not find that this in anyway a problem. In fact my family commented on the fact that they liked being able to make it ‘our’ space for the week! The kitchen area is very well equipped with plenty of crockery etc. We would have liked a sharper kitchen knife as we cooked a lot, but this was a minor problem! The table is big enough for all the family and we liked the simplicity of the furniture. We ate outside one evening with a BBQ which was lovely as it is a sheltered space and perfect for that evening glass of wine! The outside shower was ideal after a day on the beach. The bedrooms are fine and there is plenty of hanging storage space in the main rooms. It’s very quiet in the street so we slept well. Having 3 bathrooms with excellent shower facilities and the ensuite toilet in the double room was perfect. We found the really well equipped beach hut very useful and used the bodyboards and the BBQ. This is a real bonus for anyone planning on spending a whole day on the beach. Kerrek is a perfect family house for a holiday in the lovely town of Bude.
