Rosemary Barn is a tastefully decorated and fully equipped cottage which provides comfortable accommodation for four people in a double and a twin bedroom. Converted from ironstone farm buildings, the property is cool in the summer and cosy and warm in the cooler months and is fully centrally heated. The downstairs comprises a light and spacious open-plan living space with comfy sofas and flat screen TV, DVD/CD player and dining table and chairs for four people. There is plenty of room to relax and the free WIFI means you can stay connected to the outside world (if you choose to!) and look out onto the Rose garden.
Open to the living space is the fully-kitted kitchen which has a double oven, microwave, washing machine and fridge with ice-box. Guests are welcomed with fresh eggs, milk and tea and sugar so the holiday can start straightaway!
Upstairs are two comfortably proportioned bedrooms – one twin and one double and a good-sized bathroom which has a shower over the bath (ideal for washing the salt off after a day at the beach!).
Outside the cottage, Rosemary Barn has its own parking space and a lovely rose garden which is shared with Olive Tree Cottage. On the other side of the property a separate barbecue area has fantastic views across the paddock and is the perfect spot for an evening spent relaxing after sight-seeing or surfing. Higher Widemouth Farm simply exudes calm and quiet and is the perfect place to unwind, whilst offering plenty of places to see and things to do within a very short distance.
The location of Rosemary Barn, at Higher Widemouth Farm is outstanding. Set in acres of rolling farmland, there are only 3 self-catering properties on the farm which creates a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. You are in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by farmland, but a walk of just 10 minutes along a rough track brings you to the centre of the village of Widemouth Bay and the gorgeous surfing beach and coastal path. The property offers the best of both worlds – a short distance from the bustle of the beach and places to eat at Widemouth Bay and the town of Bude with all of its amenities (only 5 minutes in the car) but beautifully secluded in a rural location with views that are second to none.
