Be a Tourist at Home!

So, the Lockdown has been relaxed – we can all get outdoors more often.   Our ‘Be a Tourist at Home’ blog posts will give you some ideas and remind you about places you may not have visited in and around Bude for a while, or would perhaps not normally visit.

  • Walk to Sandymouth following the Circular Coast Path Walk
  • Walk to Widemouth along the Bude Canal following the Circular Coast Path Walk
  • Get on your bike – we have on and off road routes suitable for the whole family
  • Explore Stratton, and learn about its fascinating and surprising history
  • Learn about the Civil War Battle site. A fairly easy walk offering fine views from the site of the 1643 Battle of Stratton where 5,600 men commanded by the Earl of Stamford, advanced into Cornwall and camped upon the flat summit of Stamford Hill
  • Explore the 20-acre site at Kilkhampton Common
