Bude Celebrates National Cream Tea Day

We all love a Cream Tea!

Friday 29th June, 2018 is National Cream Tea Day.  We firmly believe that visitors will be treated to the best Cream Tea at one of the establishments in Bude!

The ‘Must try…’ options below are away from the town centre and may be missed by some visitors.  Their stunning location on the rugged coast may even prompt you to earn the Cream Tea following a Coast Path walk!

Must try… The Rectory Tea Rooms

The award winning Rectory Tea Rooms have been baking scones daily using the highest quality ingredients and following the same family recipes for 66 years, when the tearooms was first started by Jill’s mother-in-law.  In addition to the traditional scones, Jill also bakes fruit, spiced apple and raspberry scones – all served with a choice of locally made jams and Cornish clotted cream – and of course large pots of steaming tea!  We also serve and bake gluten, wheat and dairy free and vegan scones.  Open daily from 11am to 5pm. Must try… The Point

It’s well worth a trip to Hartland where The Point, located on the Cliff Top bake our big buttery scones everyday.  Their Cream Tea is served with Roddas clotted cream and tiptree strawberry jam.  It’s £4.50 for one person or £8 for two.  Their position on the Devon and Cornwall border means they really don’t mind if you put the cream or jam on first!  Visit website…
