Cream Teas

Rustic Tea Gardens

Every visitor to Bude should pay a visit to the Rustic Tea Garden at Northcott Mouth. Located right by the beach and the South West Coast Path, it’s not only an essential stop off point for refreshments - it’s a Bude institution! Massive Cornish Cream Teas and a selection of hot and cold snacks are on offer. You’ll hear Margaret’s laugh as you approach her gardens... she’s there every day from 10am until around 6pm from April to end of October (but often earlier and later). Many visitors report back that this is the place for the the very best Cornish Cream Tea!

Olive Tree

Picture yourself beside the beautiful Bude Canal with a plate of delicious locally sourced food and you’re at the Olive Tree. Open every day for drinks, lunch, coffee, cakes and delicious Cornish Cream Teas. Come the evening, the whole place transforms into a relaxed restaurant, serving modern British cuisine. There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free option too.

Coachman’s Bar and Grill

Here we serve a wide variety of beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. We particularly recommend the two local real ales. Meals are served every lunchtime and evening. To the front of the Coachman’s Bar there’s a raised Beer Terrace with lovely views over the Bude Canal, the Inner Harbour area and across to Bude town centre.

The Barge

The Barge is a traditional styled wide beamed barge tearoom/restaurant, providing a varied choice of old and new, modern and traditional food. We pride ourselves in using locally sourced, in season produce from right here in Cornwall, offering great food that features locally sourced meats, vegetables, freshly caught Cornish fish, all of which is prepared in house with an ever evolving menu and daily specials!

The Weir

The Weir is a fantastic cafe/bistro and interactive wildlife centre on the Bude Canal, perfectly placed for a mid-walk lunch. By car, we are just a few minutes from the town centre. Serving breakfast, lunch, cream teas and evening meals, with a large outdoor seating area with lake, children's play area and direct access to the Coast Path.

Rectory Farm Tea Rooms

Proud to offer a true taste of Cornwall. Award winning Cornish cream teas, morning coffee, light lunches served daily. The C13th farmhouse is filled with character, from antique furnishings and slate floors, to open fires and original oak beams salvaged from the many ships wrecked along the North Cornwall coastline.
