Ilfracombe Aquarium is an award-winning, all-weather, educational, family attraction located in the Old Lifeboat House alongside Ilfracombe's picturesque and historic harbour. The town is found on the dramatic North Devon coast 20 minutes drive from Barnstaple, just over an hours drive from Bude, set amongst the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

There's are a wide variety of species, with complex relationships all living in this secret habitat. Nat.Sci. who is a local artist, historian and naturalist will pick the very best route for the season and sights, which could include the SWCP, canal, nature reserve or battle site. Children will love the pond dipping and rockpool ramble sessions.

Lundy Island is a great day trip from Bude. Spend a day on the natural & historic National Trust island of Lundy, 3 miles long, ½ mile wide, 12 miles off the North Devon coast serviced by the Lundy passenger & supply ship MS Oldenburg.
On your visit to the 21 acre site you will see British & Asian Short Clawed Otters play, eat and sleep in their enclosures. Enter the "wildwood" and you will see Wallabies, Meerkats, Servals, Polecats and various Birds of Prey. Bird of Prey talks at 11.30 & 2.30. Otter talk and feeding at 12pm and 3pm. Award winning tea room on site.
