1940’s Tea Room Encounter at The Kitchen Front

2 October @ 10:00 - 16:00

We love living history at The Kitchen Front and offer a small space for a taste of the 1940s.

We have replica newspapers to read, Ration book menu and original WWII recipe cakes served alongside loose leaf tea and artisan coffee.

The atmosphere is calm with strains of Glenn Miller playing for a very unique tea room experience.

Please book 24h in advance for a full afternoon tea including sandwiches. All of our cakes are made to original WWII recipes such as:

- Mock Apricot Tart

– Churchill’s Gingerbread

– Peanut Butter Date Loaf

– One Egg Sponge

– Prune Coconut Slice

– Nana’s Bread Pudding

– Stork Lemon Curd Cake
