Getting married in Bude
So, you’re getting married, congratulations!! Now you’ve made the big announcement its time to find the prefect venue to say “I do”.
We’d like to help with planning your big day with some ideas of the wonderful places in an around Bude where you can say your vows. Our unique position being in Cornwall but near to Devon means you are going to be spoilt for choice.
You may want your special day to be a small and intimate gathering with just your closest friends or a perhaps you had a huge party in mind with guests from far and wide. Whatever your dream wedding, Bude has something for you.
We’ve smart hotels with amazing sea views, historic estates and stately homes with beautiful gardens, believe it or not, you can even say “I do” on the dodgems. There’s a Gild House built during the reign of Henry VIII, a Castle overlooking the sea and Bude’s registry office is in the same building as us so we may see you on your special day.

An Mor Hotel
At the top of Bude town within walking distance of both the town itself and Summerleaze beach. An Mor (Cornish for “The sound of the sea”) has 28 fabulous rooms not only are you close enough to hear the sea, from some rooms you can see it too. Their manicured gardens have a spectacular bird’s eye view over Summerleaze beach and Bude’s iconic Breakwater. What was once an outdoor swimming pool has been transformed into a very cool sunken bar. Inside you will find Norton Motor Cycles hung on the wall, re purposed Merry go rounds, and an infinity hole at reception. Why not book onto one of their fun Gin Making workshops, and create you own special wedding gin to remind you of the day. Nothing will be too much trouble and the team at An Mor will be on hand to give you a day you will never forget.

The Castle Bude
A grade II listed building overlooking Summerleaze Beach with lovely grounds and an iconic band stand. Located on the Wharf area of Bude its very close to Bude Canal and the beach for your wedding photographs. With 2 rooms licensed for civil ceremonies one seats 60 the other 24. Both rooms can be booked if needed, so you can get married in one room and have drinks served in the other before heading out onto the lawned gardens.

Our tranquil, light and spacious rooms provide the perfect setting for your wedding whilst being equally suited for all civil ceremonies, from renewing your vows to naming your cherished new arrival.
Our wedding coordinator would love to help make your special day the most perfect day and will work closely with you to make sure your wedding is as individual as you and your partner. She will be on hand from the moment you choose The Castle until your treasured memories have been created.
There are two rooms licensed for all civil ceremonies; the light and airy Willoughby Gallery is an elegant setting seating 60, while the more intimate Blanchminster Room seats 24.

The Falcon Hotel
The Falcon Hotel is the oldest Coach House in North Cornwall. Overlooking Bude Canal and only a short walk to Summerleaze beach, its in a fantastic location is hard to beat. With four different room styles, all en suite for your guests to choose from, you can celebrate together under one roof. The spectacular private walled gardens are the prefect back drop for your photographs. Be it the cosy resident’s lounge for a small intimate wedding of less than 12 guests, the Acland Suite for 140 guests or something in between in their light bright Garden Room conservatory adjoining their gardens. Remarkably this Grade 1 listed building has been in continuous use since it was built in the reign of Henry VIII which makes it around 500 years old. located only a few miles south of Bude on the A39 means any guests staying in the Bude area won’t have far to travel. Unusually for an old building it has disabled access too. Local fund raising and help from the Heritage Lottery has ensured the future of this incredible building. By having your wedding reception in the magnificent feasting hall your wedding story will be woven into the rich tapestry of the centuries past and future of this iconic local land mark.
