Is Your Business Leading the Way in Transitioning to More Sustainable Practices?

Are you doing something unique or innovative that already benefits the climate, reduces

energy use, protects biodiversity, or tackles emissions and waste?

Are you making every conversation with visitors count, directing them to local shops or

opportunities to try local food and drink?

Are you helping visitors reduce their carbon and environmental impact at every opportunity

while they are on holiday?

Do you have a passion to share your knowledge with other local businesses and upskill Bude?

What You Will Gain in Return From Being Involved?

Be offered free training opportunities to upskill yourself and your team (e.g. Become Carbon Literate (usually £150 per person).

Be one of the first businesses to pilot the projects Carbon Calculator to help assist in reducing businesses carbon footprint.

Be involved in a bespoke Train the Trainer program to transfer knowledge between you, the Champions and the Pioneer businesses.

Be involved in buddy schemes to inspire Starters to connect with Champions/Pioneers and develop mentor relationship.

Inspire other businesses by sharing your knowledge and practices contributing towards blogs, newsletters and forums.

Be instrumental in the development of ecological /nature positive training – to understand the impacts on wildlife of a changing climate; understand the connections (e.g. warming sea/fish life/restaurant trade); and find out what each of our businesses can do.
