New for July 2019: A 1940’s Tea Room. The idea of The Kitchen Front is to offer, not just hand crafted products for the kitchen and home but share skills and knowledge through creative craft and design workshops and share my passion for the 1940’s with mini events, Hen Parties.
Life’s a Beach sits pretty on the picturesque Summerleaze Beach in Bude. With a relaxed, friendly atmosphere L.A.B is the perfect spot for great food and drink throughout the day and those post-surf sundowners. Our menu is comprised of quality, affordable dishes made using fresh local ingredients from hand-picked suppliers that are as passionate about their food as we are.
The Brendon Arms serves traditional pub food with an emphasis on homemade dishes and using local and seasonal produce when available. We also serve fresh fish, vegetarian dishes and gluten free options. Food is served from 12pm - 2pm & 6pm - 9pm everyday, but times may vary during the holidays. Dogs are very welcome in the bar and beer garden.
Ceramics and Glass. We are two potters making and selling from Welcombe Pottery. David Westcott throws in stoneware. Using a 'chun' glaze, rich in blues & greens, with shells printed into the clay Alice Gare works in slip decorated earthenware and kiln formed glass. Using bright fresh coastal colours she makes clocks, plates and wall hangings.
Here we serve a wide variety of beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. We particularly recommend the two local real ales. Meals are served every lunchtime and evening. To the front of the Coachman’s Bar there’s a raised Beer Terrace with lovely views over the Bude Canal, the Inner Harbour area and across to Bude town centre.
Brightlands is a short distance from Crooklets Beach and the town centre slightly to the south, and an equal distance north to Northcott Mouth beach.
The Barge is a traditional styled wide beamed barge tearoom/restaurant, providing a varied choice of old and new, modern and traditional food. We pride ourselves in using locally sourced, in season produce from right here in Cornwall, offering great food that features locally sourced meats, vegetables, freshly caught Cornish fish, all of which is prepared in house with an ever evolving menu and daily specials!
Classically trained under Sam Moody at Michelin Star Restaurant, The Priory, Head Chef, Joe Simmonds has a genuine passion for developing menus that use fresh local ingredients.
