Life’s a Beach

Life’s a Beach sits pretty on the picturesque Summerleaze Beach in Bude. With a relaxed, friendly atmosphere L.A.B is the perfect spot for great food and drink throughout the day and those post-surf sundowners. Our menu is comprised of quality, affordable dishes made using fresh local ingredients from hand-picked suppliers that are as passionate about their food as we are.

Temple

A place to celebrate all the good things in life; great coffee, organic wines, cold beers , dishes packed with big flavours from fresh local produce inspired by our travels, all served in a relaxed warm and welcoming space, alongside a beautifully curated selection of fashion and gifts. Join us for breakfast, brunch or dinner.

Coachman’s Bar and Grill

Here we serve a wide variety of beers, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. We particularly recommend the two local real ales. Meals are served every lunchtime and evening. To the front of the Coachman’s Bar there’s a raised Beer Terrace with lovely views over the Bude Canal, the Inner Harbour area and across to Bude town centre.

The Barge

The Barge is a traditional styled wide beamed barge tearoom/restaurant, providing a varied choice of old and new, modern and traditional food. We pride ourselves in using locally sourced, in season produce from right here in Cornwall, offering great food that features locally sourced meats, vegetables, freshly caught Cornish fish, all of which is prepared in house with an ever evolving menu and daily specials!

Docton Mill Gardens and Tea Room

Docton has a working water mill with a leat and holding pond still central to the garden's layout. It also has a natural bluebell woodland (into which shrubs like rhododendrons have been planted over the last 20 years), an old orchard, and several distinct areas of herbaceous and shrub plantings. The daffodils in spring are spectacular.

The Weir

The Weir is a fantastic cafe/bistro and interactive wildlife centre on the Bude Canal, perfectly placed for a mid-walk lunch. By car, we are just a few minutes from the town centre. Serving breakfast, lunch, cream teas and evening meals, with a large outdoor seating area with lake, children's play area and direct access to the Coast Path.
