Independent Charters offer a unique fishing & cruising experience around the coast of North Devon, Lundy Island and the Bristol Channel, including salt water fly fishing, lobster chambagne outings, visits to and around Lundy Island and marine wildlife excursions.
When you visit Clovelly, be sure to visit the gardens at Clovelly Court. Plants thrive in this sheltered sunny corner of North Devon, which has the added benefit of the warmth the Gulf Stream brings.
A picturesque, historic, fishing village, steeped in maritime atmosphere and history, once owned by the Queen of England. This atmosphere is embodied in a traffic-free, cobbled street with flower-strewn cottages, tumbling down a cleft in the 400-foot cliff to the ancient fishing harbour and 14th-century quay bringing glorious views along the way. Just donkeys and sledges move needed supplies to the village. It combines a rich environment and an historic village, with so much to see and explore. It promises visitors a wonderful half day out, full of memories and staying a night or two is a very good thing to do.
