Annual tenancy

Fancy having a beach hut in Bude to call your own?  A good number of the huts at both Crooklets and Summerleaze are set-aside for annual tenancies.

General Information

Almost 80% of the Beach Huts in Bude are set-aside for annual tenancies. 
The annual tenancy runs from April 1st to March 31st.

  • Small huts are £1118 per year
  • Medium huts are £1531 per year
  • Large huts are £2108 per year

A deposit of £300 is required, and all maintenance and repairs (including regular painting) 
are the responsibility of the hut user.

Annual Renewals: Generally, all hut users are invited to renew the beach hut agreement each year. Soon after Christmas, we send out a renewal pack and you have until 28th March to complete a new agreement, make payment and call into the TIC (in person) with your ID.

No huts are currently available

If you would like an annual tenancy for a hut marked as available, simply identify the hut you would like and call us to confirm availability. The hut will be held for three days, in which time you must pay the full annual fee (pro rata) and £300 deposit.

We’ll need your complete lease agreement and for you to visit the Bude Tourist Information Centre soon after. The deposit is held for the duration of the tenancy. Proof of photo ID (passport/driving license) and proof of address (utility bill, excluding water) will be required when the lease is signed. Payment can be made by BACS or cash.

Simply select huts via the form below. Your selection will then be held on the database. 
When a hut becomes available, we search the database for the first person who selected it.

  • If they decline, or do not respond to the offer within seven days, we work through the database and offer it to those next in line until it is accepted.
  • If no one accepts the hut, or if no one has listed the hut in their selection, we list it as being available on the VisitBude website.

Please note:

  • The wait for a hut is often several years, so you must ensure you tell us if your contact details change.
  • All correspondence is sent via email, so please ensure you add our email address to your contacts or ‘safe list’.
  • If you decide to change your selection in the future, you will need to complete a new application.
