Annual tenancy

Fancy having a beach hut in Bude to call your own?  A good number of the huts at both Crooklets and Summerleaze are set-aside for annual tenancies.

General Information

Almost 80% of the Beach Huts in Bude are set-aside for annual tenancies. 
The annual tenancy runs from April 1st to March 31st.

  • Small huts are £1118 per year
  • Medium huts are £1531 per year
  • Large huts are £2108 per year

A deposit of £300 is required, and all maintenance and repairs (including regular painting) 
are the responsibility of the hut user.

Annual Renewals: Generally, all hut users are invited to renew the beach hut agreement each year. Soon after Christmas, we send out a renewal pack and you have until 28th March to complete a new agreement, make payment and call into the TIC (in person) with your ID.

No huts are currently available.

If you would like an annual tenancy for a hut marked as available, simply identify the hut you would like and call us to confirm availability. The hut will be held for three days, in which time you must pay the full annual fee (pro rata) and £200 deposit.

We’ll need your complete lease agreement and for you to visit the Bude Tourist Information Centre soon after. The deposit is held for the duration of the tenancy. Proof of photo ID (passport/driving license) and proof of address (utility bill, excluding water) will be required when the lease is signed. Payment can be made by BACS or cash.

To select a hut, please use the form below. Once you make your selection, it will be added to our database. When a hut becomes available, we’ll check the database to find the first person who selected it. When we’re able to offer you a beach hut, we’ll send you an email and you’ll have a few days to respond.

Please note:

  • It’s important to notify us if your contact details change.
  • All communications are sent by email, so please add our email address to your contacts or safe list.
  • If you want to update your hut selection, you’ll need to submit a new application.
  • If you decline or fail to respond to an offer, your place on the list will be removed.
  • If you’re already on the waiting list, and submit a new selection, your previous entrie/s will be deleted

You can select upto 45 huts on each beach. Choose ONLY the huts you'd accept. Declining an offer for a hut you list means removal from the waiting list.
