Terms and Conditions for the VisitBude £1000 Accommodation Booking Prize Draw
Introduction
1.1 These terms and conditions (the “Terms”) govern your participation in the VisitBude £1000 Accommodation Booking Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”). By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Organiser
2.1 The Prize Draw is organised by VisitBude/Bude Area Tourist Board Ltd, located at Bude Tourist Information Centre, Bude, Cornwall, EX23 8LE (the “Promoter”).
Eligibility
3.1 The Prize Draw is open to individuals aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
3.2 To enter the Prize Draw, participants must:

- Complete the VisitBude Visitor Survey (the “Survey”) available on the VisitBude website here.
- Provide valid contact details, including a valid email address, to receive VisitBude’s eNewsletters.

3.3 The accommodation booking for the £1000 prize must be made through the Bude Tourist Information Centre (“TIC”) and be for accommodation listed on VisitBude.info, provided that the accommodation is a member of VisitBude (the “Eligible Accommodation”).
3.4 The Prize Draw is not open to employees of the Promoter, its affiliates, or anyone directly involved in the administration of the Prize Draw.
How to Enter
4.1 To enter, you must:

4.2 Entries must be received by the specified closing date of the Prize Draw. The closing date will be clearly advertised on VisitBude’s website and other promotional materials. Late, incomplete, or invalid entries will not be considered.
4.3 There is no charge to enter, but internet access is required.
Prize
5.1 The prize consists of a £1000 voucher to be spent on booking accommodation at an Eligible Accommodation listed on VisitBude.info, via the Bude Tourist Information Centre.
5.2 The £1000 prize is redeemable only for accommodation bookings made through the Bude Tourist Information Centre, subject to availability.
5.3 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
5.4 The prize must be used within six months of the winner being notified. If the full value of the Prize is not used within this time, the remaining balance will be forfeited.
Winner Selection and Notification
6.1 The winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries received before the closing date.
6.2 The winner will be notified via a public post on the VisitBude Facebook page within 14 days of the closing date. The post will announce the winner’s name (or other identifying details if preferred) and invite them to claim their prize.
6.3 If the winner does not respond to the Facebook post within 14 days of being notified, the competition will end.
Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 By entering the Prize Draw, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data for the purpose of administering the Prize Draw and notifying the winner.
7.2 The Promoter will process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 and the Privacy Policy available on the VisitBude website.
7.3 Personal data provided will only be used to administer the Prize Draw and communicate with the winner. Your contact details will be used to send you VisitBude eNewsletters unless you unsubscribe. You can opt-out of receiving the eNewsletters at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email you receive.
7.4 Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary for the administration of the Prize Draw or where required by law. View our privacy policy here
General Terms
8.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms or is found to be fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise in breach of these Terms.
8.2 The Promoter’s decision on all matters related to the Prize Draw is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
8.3 The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Prize Draw and these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes to the Prize Draw will be notified on the VisitBude website.
8.4 The Prize Draw and these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Any dispute arising under or in connection with the Prize Draw shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from or in connection with the Prize Draw, including but not limited to errors in the administration or operation of the Prize Draw, or the awarding, acceptance, or use of the Prize.
9.2 The Promoter is not responsible for any loss or delay in communication (including email or social media messaging) due to technical problems, network failure, or other issues beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.
