Nestled on Breakwater Road, Rosehip Cottage is one of the original mariner’s cottages, exuding historic charm while offering modern comforts. Immerse yourself in the character of this picturesque retreat that combines the allure of the past with the luxuries of today.

Perched on the famous Bude canal, Rosehip Cottage treats you to spectacular views over Summerleaze Beach and Bude Castle Mount. This idyllic setting provides a visual feast of coastal beauty right from your doorstep. A few steps away from the lock gates grant you direct access to the beloved Summerleaze Beach and Bude Sea Pool, promising endless seaside enjoyment.

Your holiday adventures begin right at your doorstep. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll along the canal, a day at Summerleaze Beach, or exploring the historic Bude Sea Pool, Rosehip Cottage provides the perfect starting point for a myriad of coastal experiences.

Rosehip Cottage sleeps 6 -8 and includes:

• Queen size double bed in master bedroom overlooking the canal with window seat and sea view
• Two good sized double/twin bedrooms overlooking the garden
• The mattresses on the double/twin beds come in a variety of grades to allow you to find the bed that is most comfortable for you
• Sitting room with wood burning stove sofa and sofa bed 40” TV with Netflix app (use with your own account) and Bluray/DVD player
• Double Sofa bed in sitting room
• Dining room with table and chairs for 6 and wood burning stove. Extra chairs and table will allow seating for 8 (or more at a squeeze!)
• Sun room opening into garden courtyard, bringing extra light into dining room and kitchen
• Well equipped modern kitchen with oven/ grill toaster kettle blender small fridge small dishwasher
• Large new fridge freezer in the larder
• Wifi throughout the cottage (excluding the garden)
• Bathroom with bath shower and toilet upstairs
• Shower room with toilet downstairs
• Central heating (included)
• 2 wood burning stoves (fuel not included)
• Washing machine and tumble drier in utility room

The extensive garden includes:

• access from the front along the side of the house
• access from the sun room and from the utility room
• sheltered courtyard with hot water shower for coming off the beach
• upstairs patio area with table and chairs for six and large parasol
• Weber BBQ We ask that you clean the BBQ at the end of your stay to leave it ready for the next guests
• 100’ lawn with sun loungers
• 3 apple trees with double hammock
• gate at the back giving access to the Breakwater, Storm Tower, South West Coastal path towards Widemouth and also The Falcon
• Children of any age are very welcome
• Highchairs and travel cots are available on request
• There are no stairgates in the cottage Parents can bring their own portable stairgates if they wish
• In the downstairs patio there is a gate at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the garden
• Parents should take care to ensure that young children are supervised at all times
• Bed linen bath and hand towels are provided and changed at the end of each week
• Six beach towels are provided and are changed at the end of your stay

Cleaning of the cottage at the end of each week is included
