Honestly, you won’t believe how dog-friendly Bude is… starting with the beaches where you will always find somewhere for your dog to run and play even at the height of the summer season. Many of the hotels and bars in the area positively encourage you to bring you dog with you, in fact the majority of self-catering places in the area accept dogs! Some even boast a doggie-shower for muddy paws – how cool is that?!
Our craft workshops and retailers are no different – look out for jars of doggie treats next to the tills of many of our shops. Bude boasts delightful walks inland along the canal and river valley, along the South West Coast Path in either direction and further afield there are more hidden pathways to explore at places like Tamar Lakes, Penhallam Manor, Warbstow Hill Fort, Boscastle Valley and the list just goes on.
You’ll be pleased to hear that many of the attractions in the area from kid-friendly fun at the Milky Way to stately homes also welcome wonder-woofers. We hear surprised and happy feedback from visitors all the time who just can’t believe the welcome that their four-legged friend received!
