Just A couple of miles from the centre of Bude (5 minutes in the car), it’s well worth making a journey to this extremely popular beach. It’s a vast expanse of sand with lots of rock pools to explore. Although it looks like one huge beach, it’s actually divided in two.
The southern end, Black Rock has a privately owned car park and is dog friendly all year. Black Rock at the southern end is dog friendly all year.

Directions: 2.7 miles | 6 minutes from the Bude TIC. Turn left out of the at TIC car park. Continue straight ahead. The first car park on the right is free (a 15 minute walk along the Coast Path to the beach) or continue down the hill. The main car park is for Widemouth, the next is for Black Rock.
