Getting Here & Local Travel
When driving to Bude from the north, you can come off the M5 at J30, or J27. There is very little difference in the distance or travel time. Junction 27 uses the North Devon Link Road and winds its way towards Barnstaple, Bideford, Clovelly and Bude. Junction 30 takes you via the Okehampton bypass to Bude.
If you are traveling to Bude on the National Express coach or train, we suggest you use the coach or train station at Exeter. From there, use the 6 or 6A bus to Bude. In the summer, there is a once-weekly National Express to and from Bude.
The bus service in and around Bude is generally good. You will need to plan your day and trips carefully, but you will be able to visit some lovely areas of Cornwall and Devon. There are large-print bus timetables on display in the Tourist Information Centre, and you can view times here.
