Buy a Pint for the Lifeguards Keeping Our Beaches Safe
Bude’s lifeguards play a vital role in helping to keep our beaches safe throughout the season. From advising swimmers and surfers to responding to emergencies, their presence gives reassurance to thousands of beach visitors every day.
This summer, VisitBude / Bude Area Tourist Board Ltd is inviting beach users to show their appreciation by helping fund an end-of-season celebration for the lifeguard teams who work tirelessly on our beaches.
You may have already spotted our new beach posters asking a simple question:
“Did having lifeguards on duty today make you feel safer?”
If the answer is yes, you’re invited to “Buy the Lifeguards a Pint” by for their end-of-season party.
Every contribution helps recognise the hard work, professionalism, and dedication shown by lifeguards throughout the season. Donations from this campaign will support the lifeguards working across Bude’s beaches, including Widemouth Bay, Black Rock, Summerleaze, Crooklets, Northcott and Sandymouth.
A contribution can be made quickly below.
This fundraising scheme is administered independently by VisitBude / Bude Area Tourist Board Ltd and is not endorsed by the RNLI. Any surplus funds remaining after the event costs have been met will be used for the benefit of the participating lifeguards.
We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed and helped support the people who help keep our beaches safer all summer long.
