The Castle Bude
Grade II listed and steeped in history, The Castle Heritage Centre, owned and operated by Bude-Stratton Town Council, is free to visit and offers a fascinating introduction to the local heritage.
Explore the Heritage Centre and discover the stories, people and events that have shaped Bude and the surrounding area, alongside a changing programme of exhibitions across our galleries. Visitors can also browse the gift shop or enjoy refreshments at Café Limelight.
The Castle Heritage Centre is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am–4pm, with last entry at 3.45pm and cafe closing at 3pm. Opening arrangements may vary for special events and Bank Holidays.
Our spacious decking area provides a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings, with views across the canal and towards the coast.
