The challenges of a family holiday with very small people sometimes feel a little overwhelming but we can assure you that Bude and the surrounding area is ideally suited to mini holidaymakers (and their grown-ups!).
Keeping it simple is the key and there is nothing more satisfying than watching your little ones play on a safe, lifeguarded, blue flag beach! In fine weather there are tireless options at the seaside such as sand-castle building, crabbing and rockpooling, splashing and swimming in the pools and shallows, damming rivers, building pebble sculptures not to mention sandy sandwiches and ice-creams.
In Bude itself there are sandy play areas at both Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches and a lovely, newly equipped play park just behind the Crescent Car Park.
Our restaurants and pubs usually offer a special menu for youngsters and some eateries pride themselves on their family-friendly dining experience – Rosie’s Kitchen even has it’s own play area for pre-schoolers!
Don’t worry if the sun doesn’t shine every day… within a 45 minute drive of Bude town you are guaranteed a fun day out with your tiny ones at attractions such as the Milky Way, The Big Sheep or Trethorne Leisure Park with animals, rides, slides, ball pits and loads more fun.
Don’t just take our word for it, bring you young family to Bude and you will create those ‘first holiday’ memories in our safe, friendly and fun town.
