Once the stable block and tack room of the main house, Little Sanctuary retains its original character with beamed ceilings and a cobbled entrance. Enter the cottage and you’ll find three bedrooms leading off the slated hallway. There’s a delightful double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom and a room with full-size bunk beds (‘I bags the top bunk’!) plus a large family bathroom.
Head up the wooden stairs and you’ll emerge into a wonderfully light and inviting space. With comfy sofas, colour-washed stone walls and exposed rafters, it’s real rustic chic. From the sitting room, which overlooks the main courtyard, you head through to the farmhouse kitchen with a large pine table – great for family gatherings.

We love West Woolley Farm and we’re sure you will too. Come and relax in our cosy farm cottages, explore legendary beaches and spectacular countryside and, of course, say hello to our friendly animals.
Located in the peaceful hamlet of Woolley, just nine miles north of Bude, we’re easy to get to and a great base for exploring not only Bude but wider Cornwall and North Devon as well.
Choose between five fully equipped, family friendly barn conversions sleeping 4-6 people (plus cots) and a newer built cottage for two. Mill House, Stables, Grain Store and Parlour, with their exposed rafters, stone walls and wobbly roof lines, are all located around the main courtyard at the heart of the farm while Anna’s Cottage offers greater privacy annexed to the main farmhouse. Shepherds is a more modern, eco-friendly design a short distance from the courtyard providing the perfect hideaway for couples.
Everyone’s welcome to help with morning animal feeding – children especially enjoy feeding the pigs and chickens, herding the ducks and playing with our pygmy goats. And if they’ve still got energy to burn, head to our play barn where we have a selection of ride-on toys, ball games, table tennis, basketball and table football. Or just take it easy and soak up the peace and tranquillity.
If you can tear yourself away from the farm, there’s lots of exciting things to see and do nearby …..explore the pretty seaside town of Bude with its famous sea pool, canal, beach huts and independent shops; go rock-pooling or surfing at wide sandy beaches such as Sandymouth, Northcott Mouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets or Widemouth Bay; take a walk along the spectacular South West Coast Path; cycle the Tarka or Camel trails; visit pretty fishing villages like Clovelly or Appledore; admire the beautiful gardens at RHS Rosemoor; have an adventure at the award-winning Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks; and, of course, enjoy local produce at the many great pubs and restaurants around about.

The luxurious interior is furnished to an exceptional standard. The open-plan living area, with its well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating, and under-floor heating, ensures that guests remain warm and cosy throughout the year.
The two bedrooms are separate, with steps leading either up or down to them, and both feature en-suite bathrooms, crisp white bed linen, and towels. Both rooms are equipped with zip-and-link beds, allowing them to be configured as either a king-size or twin beds.
