Scott, the Head Surf Coach, at Bude Surfing Experience whose extensive experience in the industry leads our team of highly-qualified instructors. Each member of our coaching team is carefully selected to align with our core values of ensuring both fun and safety at all times. We take pride in our commitment to excellence, with every instructor holding DBS checks, Safeguarding training, and certifications in Lifeguarding and Surf Coaching. Rest assured, we are fully insured and endorsed by Surfing England.

Summerleaze Beach, one of our chosen locations, is not only dog-friendly but also perfect for families, featuring the unique Bude Sea Pool.

DAILY GROUP SESSIONS
Embark on our daily 2.5-hour group sessions tailored for all ages and abilities, maintaining a minimum ratio of 1 instructor to 8 learners. The session cost includes all necessary equipment. Families with children under 8 are welcome, but we kindly ask for a non-surfing adult to accompany them—please arrange this at the time of booking.

PRIVATE / BESPOKE SESSIONS
Unlock a personalized surfing experience by booking a private lesson, where your dedicated surf instructor focuses exclusively on you and/or your family. Ideal for families with small children eager to surf together, as well as individuals and couples seeking accelerated progress.

PEAK SEASON (July and August): Exclusive sunrise and sunset sessions only.

OFF-PEAK: Enjoy the flexibility of choosing your preferred timing.

We cater to diverse private group bookings, including stag and hen parties, corporate and team-building events, school, scout, and university groups, as well as birthday parties (for all ages over 8). Everyone is welcome for surf, SUP, and bodyboard sessions.

The inspiration for our creative endeavours is drawn from the Cornish word for family, “Teylu.” Together, as a family unit, we have ventured into the world of fused glass art and workshops, creating pieces that reflect the beauty and warmth synonymous with the Cornish spirit.

In the heart of our artistic journey is Beau Nidol, a space where two sisters, fuelled by a passion for cutting glass and crafting fused glass art, collaborate with their mother, Julie. Welcome to Budehaven Recreation Ground which has been offering a range of sporting activities for visitors and locals alike for over 100 years! Situated just opposite Summerleaze Beach, close to the Wharf and Canal and only minutes’ walk away from the town centre it really does offer something for everyone.

There is a 9 hole crazy golf course and a brand new 18 hole mini golf course which is set in a picturesque spot looking straight across to the sand dunes of Summerleaze Beach.
The Grounds also have six recently resurfaced tennis courts, two squash courts, a bowling green and a putting green.

In addition, there is a great cafe with indoor and outdoor seating offering a range of hot and cold food and drinks including great coffee!

Nestled in the quaint village of Poughill, you’ll find the charming Poughill Playground, a cozy haven tailored for our youngest adventurers.

Designed with safety in mind, Poughill Playground provides a sheltered and secure environment for smaller children to frolic and play. Amidst its intimate setting, you’ll discover a delightful combination of open grassy spaces and engaging play equipment, perfect for endless hours of fun.

Conveniently situated next to the free car park in Poughill and adjacent to the tranquil cemetery, accessing this inviting retreat is a breeze for families seeking a peaceful escape.

Within Shoreline’s coaching team, is former World Champion, Simon Hammond, acclaimed author of “Surf Kayaking: The Essential Guide” and an International Surf Kayak Coach. You really will be learning from the best!

One of the most thrilling adventures in Bude is paddling down the Bude canal and out into Summerleaze Bay. From there, depending on conditions, you can continue along the coastline to explore the numerous inlets and channels between the rocks, landing on deserted beaches. On the return journey, the Shoreline team will find a surf beach and teach you how to ride the waves, providing ample time for practice, which is both easier than you think and incredibly enjoyable.

If conditions are flat and calm, they will focus on coastal exploration. If there’s plenty of surf, they will emphasize the surfing aspect. Regardless, they guarantee you’ll have an unforgettable time.

Welcome to Docton Mill Tea Rooms & Gardens, a hidden gem in the heart of Hartland, North Devon.

Discover the captivating story of Docton Mill Wild Flower Gardens, nestled in a stunning valley just 1000m from the coast. Originating in the 1930s, the garden faced a period of neglect in the 1970s. The resurgence in 1980 brought about the renovation of the Mill, extensive planting, and the creation of a new Bog Garden and borders, accompanied by the planting of numerous trees. The new millennium ushered in further developments, including the Magnolia Garden, expansive Herbaceous borders, Woodland Garden, and a Greenhouse area for extensive plant propagation.

Our Wild Flower Gardens follow a theme of natural simplicity. In spring, witness displays of narcissi, primulas, camellias, rhododendrons, and azaleas, all framed by the enchanting presence of bluebells. Summer brings a profusion of roses, including a rose bank of Felicia and Pax, alongside the Herbaceous border. Explore a field boasting 25 varieties of magnolia, ensuring a garden that captivates throughout the seasons.

Bodmin Keep welcomes furry friends to the museum as they are a dog-friendly attraction. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are warmly invited to accompany their owners during their visit. However, please note that entry for dogs is subject to discretion, particularly during busy periods. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both human and canine visitors, it’s recommend booking ahead.

Accessibility
The museum is spread across two floors, each accessed via a flight of stairs, unfortunately, wheelchair access is not available at this time. However, Bodmin Keep strive to ensure that all visitors can enjoy our exhibits comfortably. They provide seating in every gallery and stalls to stand on, allowing everyone to view items displayed in cabinets raised off the ground. The aim is to make your visit as inclusive and enjoyable as possible.
