We are concerned that the volume of visitors will put huge and unprecedented pressure on non-patrolled beaches. From a tourism point of view, whilst many people are already fearful, the last thing that our community needs is a tragic incident on one of our beaches.

Easter 2020 Covid 19 Lockdown Impact Survey – Analysis of Data – APRIL 2020

Following news of the the “Easter lockdown”, Bude Area Tourist Board circulated a survey to its member businesses and to a wider audience via Tourism Associations to assess the impact on SME businesses in the tourism sector. Businesses included self-caterers/ B&Bs, hotels, holiday parks and some attractions (<10% of the whole).

Fancy having a beach hut to call your own?  A good number of the huts at both Crooklets and Summerleaze are set-aside for annual tenancies.  Many of the huts we use for daily hire are leased out on a seasonal tenancy for the off-peak period. There are no qualifying criteria - anyone can have a beach hut, but demand is high and there is a long waiting list for the most popular beach huts.

It's a very easy drive from to explore the area south of Bude. Head South from Bude for the Day and visit Widemouth Bay, then onto Boscastle and Tintagel. Return to Bude via the A39 Atlantic Highway, calling into a couple of attractions you may not know about on the way!
