The rustic solid wood king-sized bed and spacious walk-in shower in the large master bedroom add to the charm of Parlour, making it an ideal haven to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Please note that while Parlour may be suitable for those with limited mobility, there are two steps into the porch, which provides storage space for buggies.

For added convenience, one well-behaved dog is welcome for a small additional charge of £20. Owners must bring their own dog basket or cage. It’s important to note that Parlour opens onto a shared child-friendly courtyard and does not have its own garden. Part of the sunny Stable Courtyard, Kittiwake is one of six cottages approached through the original stable archway. Converted with imagination and care, it offers characterful accommodation ideal for families and small groups.

There are three bedrooms: a king-size double, a twin room (with space for a cot if needed), and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds—perfect for children. A well-appointed family bathroom includes a bath with shower over.

Outside, a grassy area with table, seating, and gas BBQ is reserved for your exclusive use. Next door, Heron Cottage can be booked alongside Kittiwake, making an excellent combination for larger family groups of up to 12 people.

Boots Cottage is a charming self-contained annex with its own front and rear doors, opening into a peaceful seated courtyard area. The accommodation seamlessly blends comfort and functionality.

A cozy lounge welcomes you with eating and seating areas, including a convenient sofa bed.

The well-appointed fitted kitchen boasts modern amenities such as a fridge-freezer and washing machine.

Upstairs, a spacious dual-aspect double bedroom awaits, complete with an en-suite shower room. All rooms are designed to capture natural light and showcase fine rural views.

Outside the cottage, pretty gardens and off-road parking await. Guests also have access to a characterful and secure adjacent stone outbuilding, perfect for storing bikes and surf equipment. A convenient washing line is at your disposal.

Bring your dog along to share in the comfort. Your furry friend will be welcome downstairs and can enjoy the secure enclosed courtyard.  They may even make friends with the occasional visit from the friendly resident cats next door.

The charming village of Marhamchurch, with its ancient church of St. Marwenne, community shop, and village pub, is a short walk away along the canal. The Weir Bistro, just a 5-minute walk from home, boasts canal views, a fishing lake, and an enticing menu.

Nature and Exploration:

Wildlife enthusiasts will revel in the abundance of local fauna, from herons to kingfishers. A bird-hide along the canal path into Bude offers opportunities to observe ducks and swans. Row-boating and crabbing are delightful activities for all ages.

Rose Cottage is a spacious stone barn conversion with four bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 8 plus cots. On the ground floor, you’ll find a generous open-plan living area featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining area with seating for ten, and a cozy lounge centred around a stone fireplace with a wood-burner.

The ground floor also includes a large bedroom with a king-size double bed and a shower room. Upstairs, the first-floor sitting room offers spectacular views over the valley and woodlands, along with three additional bedrooms and a family bathroom.

The expansive upstairs bedroom boasts a stunning wrought iron king-size four-poster bed. Two twin rooms are accessible from the main hallway.

No matter your age, you’ll love the heated indoor pool at Woodlands. Whether you’re swimming laps or playing with the kids, the fun is limitless. The pool is maintained at a warm 30 degrees, ensuring a comfortable swim year-round.

The Games Room is a favourite among our guests, offering a great opportunity for all ages to relax and enjoy a wide range of activities. We have soft play, table tennis, foosball, giant Connect Four, darts, and pool.

For outdoor play, we provide a playing field with a stunning view, swings, a climbing frame, and a slide. The field also has two football goals, perfect for an impromptu kick-around with the kids.

The woodlands are simply magical, especially in April and May when the ground is carpeted with bluebells. Dogs are welcome to roam, but don’t forget your wellies, as it can get a bit muddy by the stream in winter.

The animals make the farm a special place for everyone. Twice a week, on Sundays and Wednesdays, kids (and big kids) can join Ruth for a feed-the-animals experience, getting up close with pigs, sheep, alpacas, horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, and the cat.

This is single storey living at its best. Step into this lovely long barn, once the milking parlour, and you’ll discover a warm, inviting space. The open plan layout lends itself perfectly to family life, with the kitchen flowing into the dining and sitting area. Here you can rustle up a big post-animal-feeding breakfast while chatting to the kids.

The high raftered ceilings, with mellow exposed beams, and ample windows mean it gets plenty of daylight. Grab a good book and snuggle up on the sofa or plan the day’s events.

There are two bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room, and one with two single beds and an en-suite family bathroom.

The lack of stairs make this barn great if you’ve got little ones at the let’s-go-climbing stage or for anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

Nestled on the bank of the scenic Bude Canal, The Old Lifeboat House Apartments invite you to relish in the rich history of the converted Old Lifeboat House. Located just across from the Brendon Arms and a stone’s throw from the town centre, harbour, and Summerleaze Beach, our charming apartments offer the perfect blend of history, convenience, and coastal beauty.

These small yet cozy apartments are perfectly suited for two to four people. Step outside your door, and you’re greeted by a small seating area with the tranquil waters just a meter or two away. A parking space by the front door ensures easy access to your retreat.

Inside, each apartment is gas centrally heated and features an open plan lounge/kitchen diner equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, including an electric cooker and microwave. The lounge area boasts a flat-screen colour television, dining table and chairs, and two sofas, with one converting into a sofa bed for added flexibility. The bedroom offers either a double or twin beds, and the shower room is equipped with a shower, wash hand basin, and W.C.

When viewed from across the canal, the four apartments each have their own unique charm. George Brendon and Thomas Acland are both on the ground floor. Parson Hawker and Captain Barrett, on the first floor.

These apartments pay homage to the early champions of the Bude Lifeboat, reflecting the great tradition of heroic sea rescues that continues with the RNLI today. Each apartment is named after a key figure in Bude’s maritime history: Sir Thomas Acland, George Brendon MFH, Parson Hawker, and Captain Barrett.

Situated on the bottom left of the Old Lifeboat House, it features its own outside space where you can relax and enjoy the harbour views. Located on the bottom right of the Old Lifeboat House, this charming ground floor apartment offers comfort and convenience in the heart of Bude. Ideal for friends, small families, or couples preferring separate beds, this apartment is just a short walk to Bude’s beach, shops, and the Brendon Arms across the road.

Captain Barrett – First Floor Apartment

Situated on the top right of the Old Lifeboat House, this stylish first-floor apartment is a wonderful choice for a coastal getaway. It offers a comfortable twin bedroom, a light open-plan lounge with a sofa bed, TV, and DVD player, plus a fully fitted kitchen. With views across the canal and the Tourist Office nearby, it’s perfectly placed for exploring Bude’s harbour, beaches, and town centre, all just a few minutes’ walk away.

Nestled on the southern edge of Bude, Trewhel-ju is a meticulously converted farm building, strategically located near the splendid beaches and amenities of our beloved town. Situated close to the magnificent cliffs and the picturesque Bude Canal, Trewhel-ju offers a high standard of accommodation with accessibility at its core.

The property is thoughtfully designed for accessibility, providing comfortable accommodation on one level throughout.

The spacious living room, flooded with natural light, seamlessly opens onto a secluded courtyard garden boasting panoramic views of the Neet Valley.

Trewhel-ju is ideal for a couple but can accommodate a couple and two children; there is also room for a cot. The accommodation is fully accessible and there is a wet room.

The garden, exclusively for guests’ use, is a sunny retreat perfect for relaxation and enjoyment, offering a peaceful escape.

Trewhel-ju features under-floor heating and a multi-fuel stove, ensuring a cozy ambiance and making it a suitable retreat year-round.

We have installed solar panels on the south-facing roof and the cottage is insulated to a high standard. We recently received our Energy Performance Certificate – Trewhel-ju is rated A96, the highest score our assessor has seen. We used recycled materials where possible.

Once an original cob-walled barn of the estate, Grebe Cottage has been thoughtfully converted to provide inviting open-plan living with two comfortable en suite bedrooms.

Recently refurbished and fully centrally heated, the cottage features a beautifully designed Shaker-style kitchen with every modern convenience. The spacious lounge and dining area create a welcoming heart to the home, while a broad staircase leads down to the bedrooms.

The master bedroom offers a king-size bed with en suite shower room, while the second bedroom is ideal for children, with a single bed, sturdy bunks, and its own en suite bathroom.

For larger family gatherings, Grebe combines perfectly with its neighbour, Dunlin, sharing an enclosed courtyard with tables, seating, and BBQs—an exclusive space for relaxed family meals and celebrations.
